My fiance and I are very outgoing so this cake topper seemed like the perfect embellishment to show off our fun personalities at the wedding. The quality was a little nicer quality than anticipated. I thought it would be rather frail and hollow but it actually has some heft to it. The paint job is a little messy around the ski poles but not very noticeable. I discovered these cute cake toppers in a Wedding Star catalogue where they show all of the themes and options. However they also play up the hand-painted aspect with an image of an American male painting one at a work bench. They are hand-made but there is a Made in China sticker on the bottom, so don't get your expectations up too high. If you like Wedding Star's cake toppers, definitely buy them on Amazon and not their website. This one was double the price and the website would time-out consistently when I tried to apply a coupon that came in my catalogue. I never made it to the check-out. Overall, the cake topper is quite beautiful and perfect for my wedding.
